THE AMEVA EMBROIDERY JOURNAL
Personalised Towel Embroidery: Names, Monograms and Logos
A name, pair of initials or small business logo can give a towel a personal purpose. Before ordering, decide whether the embroidery should be the main feature of a gift or a discreet detail on a towel used every day. That choice helps you explain the design, size and placement to Ameva.
Start with the towel you will supply
Send a photo or product link before buying. Include the towel dimensions, fabric information, a close view of the surface and any decorative border. Show the reverse of the intended embroidery area too. Ameva supplies the embroidery; you buy the suitable blank towels separately or supply your own.
Do not assume that two towels of the same colour have the same construction. Surface texture, borders and thickness can differ. Ask the team to confirm suitability for the actual towel and proposed design before purchasing several matching pieces.
Choose names, initials or a logo deliberately
For a personal gift, type the exact name and check spelling with the recipient’s family if necessary. For a monogram, specify the order of the letters rather than relying on an assumed convention. If you want different names on a set, provide a numbered list with quantities.
For a lodge, guesthouse or business, send the original logo and tell the designer which elements matter most. The team can review whether fine lettering or small shapes need adjustment for the towel and intended embroidery size. Avoid approving solely from a tiny screen thumbnail.
Check how the towel will be folded
Photograph the towel folded or hung as you intend to use it, then indicate where the design should appear. Give a preferred width in millimetres and show the distance from a recognisable edge or border. Ask the team to confirm the practical placement before stitching.
A design centred on an unfolded towel may disappear inside a fold. For matching hand towels and bath towels, agree whether the embroidery should have the same dimensions or a different size for each item. Keep those instructions in the order rather than leaving them to interpretation.
Review colour and the finished appearance
Send the towel colour alongside your preferred thread colours. Decide whether you want the wording to stand out or blend in subtly, and ask the team to review the combination. Screen previews help communicate the layout but are not exact physical colour samples. Use the thread colour guide when choosing your codes.
Ask what the reverse of the embroidery will look like and whether any backing remains. For washing, follow the towel’s care label and any instructions provided for the finished embroidery; do not assume every towel or stitched design has the same care requirements.
Approve the complete towel order
- Exact towel style, colour, size and quantity.
- Names, letter order or approved logo.
- Embroidery dimensions and position on each towel type.
- Thread colours, including any differences between pieces.
- The embroidery quote and separate delivery arrangements.
Ameva has no minimum order, so one personalised towel is an option. Different names are variations and should be included in the quote request. Production takes 3–4 business days after payment, items and artwork approval have all been received, with delivery time additional. Share your gift or event deadline before sending towels.
